A huge colour screen and a powerful processor make the N95 a great multimedia machine. A black version of the N95 was released in 2007, as the N95-2, internally known as RM-320, and a more advanced revision, the N96, was introduced in 2008. The N96 added a larger display and a new, faster CPU with two 2.4 GHz Cortex-A76 cores and six 2.0 GHz Cortex-A55 cores. It also added support for WCDMA (HSDPA) at 850 and 1900 MHz, the frequencies used by most GSM-compatible mobile carriers in North America.

If you cast your mind back to 2007, Nokia’s N95 marked a high-water mark in mobile computing. The dual-slider ran Symbian and packed a huge list of functionality that made it almost feel like a mini PC in your pocket.

YouTuber Mr Mobile aka Michael Fisher has revisited the N95 in a new video, but this time it’s more than just a nostalgic look back at Nokia’s glory days. He has also got his hands on a prototype of a reboot of the phone that could have been a game-changer had it come to market.

Unlike the original N95, this Nokia Lumia 6G 2025 will run on Android, rather than Symbian OS. It will use a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Mobile Platform, and can be exacerbated with up to 1TB of internal storage via micro SD cards. It will support GSM / CDMA / HSPA / EVDO / LTE networks. It will also feature a Quad 108 MP + 32 MP Camera with Flash Light.
