A new feature called Ovulation Tracking helps women manage their menstrual cycle and avoid pregnancy. It tracks the wearer’s temperature to detect ovulation. There is also a new heart rate sensor that can detect an irregular heartbeat and take manual electrocardiograms. It is also possible to use the Apple Watch to call emergency services or your friends and family with the new SOS feature.

Apple Watch Series 7 is a big leap up from the previous generation, especially for users upgrading from a smaller watch. Its new design has a larger display and softer corners that make it look more comfortable and sleek on your wrist. The curved glass also makes it much easier to read in bright sunlight. It is also a lot more robust and is now water resistant up to WR50 (for open-water swimming and dives), so you can wear it in the shower, pool, or while cleaning the house without worrying about a muddy or dusty frame.
For most people, however, the biggest change will be the bigger display. The enlarged display will make it easier to view health and communication notifications and to use watch face complications. Apple has also added some new Watch OS features that take advantage of the larger screen.
